You will be able to determine how much you should weigh if you know your height. First, tape an 11 ½ ” x 8″ piece of paper to a wall in an area that will show your mark for your height.
Next, make a line at the top of your head, using a pencil or pen, to show how tall you are. Remember to take off your shoes before checking your height.
Measure the distance from the floor to the mark you made on the paper that is on the wall. Then on a seperate sheet of paper write that measurement. Using a weight scale check your weight. Subtract a few pounds for the clothes.
You can find a height weight chart on the internet. Use a search engine and look for the term “height weight” table.
Find your height and weight in the height weight table and determine how much you should weigh.

I recommend that you use Wikipedia’s Body Mass Index table (BMI) as it is very complete with all the necessary information you need for a complete evaluation of your fat index. You may also use the search engines Yahoo, Google or another search engine if you prefer.
Another measurement to use to answer the “how much should I weigh” question is to compute the Body Mass Index (BMI). BMI is an indicator of how much fat you have on your body. The indicator on the table will show that you are severely underweight, normal, overweight or obese class I, obese class II or obese class III.
You may use another BMI (Body Mass Index) chart if you prefer. First locate the height on the height weight table and read across to find the ideal weight. Remember to use the height weight chart for either a woman or a man depending on which gender you are looking for “How much should I weigh”.
For an person with average weight their BMI (Body Mass Index) is from 18.5 to 24.9. A person with a BMI of between 18.5 and 22.9 has a low risk of developing heart disease or diabetes.
